The method of autocorrelation applied in search of alignments
( French Title: La méthode de l'autocorrélation appliquée à la recherche d'alignements )
Abstract :It’s a method to find aligned objects like alignment of ring complex of Aïr (Niger) or Cap Saint André (Madagascar). First made by optic way, and so qualitative, with computer and numeric calculation it becomes quantitative and authorizes comparation by weight between direction of alignments. After test of the method on random samples to see what information is exploitable, it is applied on three ring complexes provinces : Aïr, Cap Saint André and Cameroon line to try to find tectonic directions responsible of the alignment along invisible faults.
