Wanted a new thesis director

     I prepared from the autumn, 2000 a thesis in geomorphology with a unique Thesis director the professor of University J.C. Maurin in the Centre Littoral De Géophysique, University of La Rochelle. I made my research works in bad condition because my director did not give me the necessary tools, and among others, I was obliged to realize and program, to make these researches, a numerical model which was not a part of my initial work of thesis, because originally I was supposed to use the model EROS of the professors Alain Crave and Philippe Davy, of Géosciences Rennes. At the end of 2003, I obtained a half-post of ATER (Assistance professor) at La Rochelle University which I assumed in the same time of my end of thesis. My director was satisfied of my researches results and planned the my PhD defense at the end of 2003, and later on at the beginning of 2004. But at the beginning of 2004, he dropped his directorship. In May, 2004, I had presented him my thesis manuscript which he had refused without correcting it, what obliged me to rewrite my manuscript in summer, 2004, and what made then necessary an extra university reinscription to allow me my thesis defense in legal conditions in autumn, 2004. Even if my delay is partially attributable in its lack of management and in the fact that I had a numeric model to realize entirely besides my thesis, my director then refused without motive my university re-registration and thus my defense of thesis. In July, 2004 he refused to re-register me and in September I was excluded from the CLDG and thus from the university by its refusal without motive to re-join to defense my thesis. I then initiated amicable negotiations with the university unsuccessfully and the President of the University cancelled my contract of thesis in the end of June, 2005 without respected of the legal procedure. I contested this termination in front of the Court Administrative as the resiliation mail informed me that I had the right to do it. This lawsuit lasted 19 months at the end of which the Administrative Court notified me the reject of my request to the motive that the contract of thesis which I had signed to the University in October, 2000 « was not contractual » and which I was not founded « to prevail of the violation, by the administration, the obligations of contractual nature which would have imposed on it the contract of thesis »; while I asked only for the right of access to my thesis defense, and thus for the diploma of doctor of Sciences in a public University! In the same scientific laboratory, the CLDG, I knew two other PhD students which obtained derogation of the fifth and sixth year of thesis to be allowed to defense their thesis! The equality of opportunity was not thus respected in this University of the French Republic.

I thus look for a new thesis Director in Geosciences and a new university which would let me a thesis defense, my manuscript in French being finished since 2004 ( 344 pages), and I had completely translated into English ( 345 pages), thus because my previous Thesis Director forbade me by his refusal of re-registration the thesis defense of my research works. I had benefited to prepare this thesis of a grant of the General Council of the Charente maritime.

During my training by the research (this is the French mane for the PhD student periode), I among others specialized in the following domains:
- In digital modelling where I developed an original model of simulation of the erosion of reliefs by the networks of drainage, having no digital model at my disposition. Since the conception of the algorithms, their computer programming, to the validation and the application of the model,
- In geomorphology and numerical geomorphology, and indirectly in G.I.S. and D.E.M. with their specific problems,
- In photointerpretation and photo quantification (temporal following of microrelief, ...)
- In university teaching (L1 to M2) thanks to a post of A.T.E.R. (Temporary Teacher and Research. This is a University assistant professeur contract, for one year), and before this post of ATER, by training students. Teaching in digital modelling, statistics (class course, directed works, pratical works), practical G.I.S teaching, class course of geophysics.
- Webmaster of the Website of the Littoral Centre Of Geophysics from November, 2000 till 30/09/2004.
